During January Angelina and Brad Pitt visited a school in Haiti supported by Yele Haiti, a charity founded by Wyclef Jean.
Angelina also arranged a deal with People Magazine which would allow them to print the first picture showing her visibly pregnant in exchange for a $500,000 donation to Yele Haiti.
On the 30th of January Angelina attended the World Economic Forum in Davos. Angelina was on the panel discussion of Human Rights: Reduced to Charity?.
Shortly before the birth of baby Shiloh, while in Namibia, Angelina promoted the Global Education Week.
